Every time I think of you, a grain of sand falls from the sky, thus forming the Sahara.
Disappointment with friends often stems from their words and actions failing to meet one's expectations. But I believe friends cannot be demanded of, not even a little, because we have no right to.
Actually, living is truly a beautiful thing, not because of the beauty or grandeur of the scenery, but because of who we meet, how we are warmed, and then the hope that one day we too can become a little sun, warming others.
The sun hasn't completely set, but the moon has already risen high, and the evening breeze stirs the desolate wilderness, the air carrying the unique scent of summer earth and evaporating withered grass. Here, the solemnity of the mountains, the beauty of the grasslands, and the tranquility of the earth are presented so harmoniously.
In this world, cultured people often fail to gain respect in societies where others lack similar refinement. A tyrannical person, on the other hand, can establish authority—a truly bizarre phenomenon of black and white being reversed.
Regarding dreams: Everyone should have at least one dream, a reason to be strong. If the heart has no place to rest, everywhere is a place of wandering.
On love: Love that doesn't translate into the practicalities of life—clothing, food, sleep, money—won't last. True love is about being relaxed, about being able to burp, fart, pick your ears, and blow your nose without restraint in front of them; the person who truly loves you is the one you can see without washing your face, combing your hair, or putting on makeup.
On life: Without experiencing long nights of weeping, one cannot understand life. We treat these pains as lessons and learning experiences, until one day we truly feel grown, and even thank them for the lessons they taught us.
On confusion: Sometimes, I so wish for a pair of wise eyes that could see through me, understand everything about me, including all the vibrancy and desolation. Those eyes could penetrate my very soul, reaching the true self deep within my heart; their words could resolve all my confusion, or offer a penetrating critique of my actions.
On happiness: True happiness is neither ecstasy nor agony. In my subjective opinion, it's like a gentle stream, a calm sea—being an ordinary person among the masses, enjoying fleeting moments of joy in life. Even if we don't die, we're already in paradise.
A person's life is nothing more than the accumulation of one 24-hour period after another. In this precious time, I must understand my choices.
Dreams can be extravagant, but ideals are the arduous path we forge step by step.
Learn to take control of your life; even being alone isn't such a bad situation. Without self-pity, without inferiority, without complaint, take it one day at a time, one step at a time. The joy of finding light at the end of the tunnel and the inevitable arrival at our destination lie in our own cultivation.
Reading more books naturally changes one's appearance. Many times, we may think that many books we've read are gone and forgotten, but in fact, they remain latent within us. They are in our temperament, in our speech, in the boundless expanse of our minds, and of course, they may also manifest in our lives and our writing.
The only thing I'm unwavering in my pursuit, willing to dedicate my life to, is preserving my personal aspirations: to be a sincere person for the rest of my life, never giving up my love and passion for life, and to live an infinitely vast life within the limited space and time I have.
The tragedy of humanity lies in our inability to hold onto time, and in our inability to deny that youth will one day naturally fade away. Yet, the preciousness of humanity also lies in our growth in life as time and circumstances change. The passage of time is inevitable, but the gradual transformation of a person is also inseparable from the power of time.
Dusk is the most beautiful moment of the day; may every wandering heart find its eternal home under a lamp.
In fact, I find great peace in the tranquility of a good book, a long night, and a cup of hot tea. For life, this is already a great blessing, because we do not live in countries ravaged by war or under totalitarian rule; this freedom is something I am deeply grateful for and cherish.
