The rain outside the window was still howling; the weather is always unpredictable, and sometimes plans can't keep up with changes. For example, the sports meet scheduled for this morning was postponed due to the heavy rain brought by the typhoon in Hainan. Despite this, the students still arrived at school early, preferring to stay on campus even when classes were cancelled.
In this world, clouds and water flow, sunset glows, rainbows at sunset, and the rising sun—all cycle endlessly, changing unpredictably, coming and going quickly, like a fleeting moment. We can't always see clearly or predict everything, but what remains constant is our sincerity and responsibility towards our students, and their smiles.
In the classroom where the Qihang Social Practice Team teaches, there's a different learning atmosphere, always making me feel like I'm back in my childhood. Watching them play chess during breaks, even passing notes in class, sneaking away to their friends when the teacher isn't looking, reminds me of how I used to like sitting in the middle of the classroom, and how I used to enjoy hopscotch during breaks. After this summer practice ends, perhaps I'll return to my old school, to see the campus where we shared so many memories.
Teaching in rural areas gives us more than just classroom experience or a taste of life. It gives us memories that have been dusted off and the chance to create memories of today and tomorrow.
