If it weren't for the experience of vacation, Momo wouldn't have realized the importance of studying and thus changed her perspective.
A long two-month vacation sparked an idea in Momo's mind: she wanted to try a different life. When she went to work alone at a restaurant called "Judian" in the city, it was clearly a huge challenge for someone who wasn't good at speaking and even less at interacting with strangers. How much courage did she need to make such a decision? Perhaps only she knew best. To escape a life she didn't like, she abandoned all her pride to experience being bossed around and living in constant fear (at least that's what Momo thought). She originally thought it would be a fresh start, but she was extremely frustrated because she simply couldn't adapt to this kind of life. She couldn't fully integrate into their "world," she couldn't communicate well with customers, and she couldn't do the tasks assigned by the manager well. Every day, she endured the cold stares of others, and she had to pretend not to see them. When she couldn't bear it anymore, she would tell herself, "This is my own choice, accept reality!"
When the warm sun rose in the east the next day, when she adjusted her mood to face her choice, when she tried her best in everything, when she still couldn't change the situation and had to endure all the dissatisfaction and disdain, she repeatedly heard a voice whispering in her ear, "Go back, this isn't the life you should be living!" At this moment, after enduring so much grievance and holding back her tears for so long, she finally couldn't hold back and they fell. She wavered. She hated herself. Why did she try so hard to do something well? She always thought sadly, what was the point of living in this world that was so incompatible with her?
She was so timid and cowardly, no wonder no one wanted to be her friend. "I deserve it!" she always comforted herself. She
felt that she had been silent for too long, and that she would eventually be consumed by herself. Whenever she thought of this, she felt ridiculous. She was capable of living alone for so long. In the lonely times lived a lonely girl who was unknown and uncared for. This girl always sang alone in this lonely world that belonged to her. Although there was no audience, she still sang about loneliness vividly, and even she herself had to admire herself for it.
